I am building Whim. Whim is an inspiration-to-action engine built to kill digital fatigue. We solve the execution gap of getting friends together by bridging digital content and real-world plans. Users can explore our in-app curated collections of local spots—from hidden restaurants and cafes to drop-ins and festivals—or capture outside inspiration by sharing any social media Reel directly to Whim. Our backend instantly extracts the venue data and generates a 1-tap invite with built-in time and location polls. We bypass the chaotic group chat—the crew simply votes, and the plan is locked. Post-event, the loop closes with a private, shared photo album. We strip out toxic vanity metrics (no likes, no follower counts) to focus purely on authentic memories that fuel the next plan. Both iOS and Android apps (Flutter/FastAPI) are fully coded, user-validated through a 25-user Alpha, and actively transitioning to public Beta in Metro Vancouver.
