I'm building Pairwise (pairwise.app) to help organizations provide mentorship programs to their members. Two years ago, my nonprofit (ProductBC; productbc.ca) needed to cancel our mentorship program in response to a lack of volunteer capacity, and I swore it would never happen again. I explored the commercial offerings, but none offered the sort of insights I knew were possible with AI. I made an offhand commitment to the board to build “a little GPT script” and help with matching. The results were so impressive that I kept fleshing it out, and other organizations took interest. Pairwise is now a full-fledged SaaS, currently running ProductBC’s Spring 2026 mentorship cohort, and will soon be used by the Toronto Product Management Association.
